GreenBrowser is an alternative web browser that fights to become a convenient replacement for much more popular browsers, such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, or Google Chrome. This browser is called "green" because it is very lightweight (its installer weights just 1.14 MB) and it has been designed to consume as low system resources as possible.
GreenBrowser's user interface looks and works like most other Web browsers. It offers you all the primary functionality that you can find in any major browser, like history and favorites management, tabbed Web browsing, ad filtering, webpage saving, etc. However, there are also several interesting functions offered by GreenBrowser that are rarely found in other browsers. For example, I can mention the auto form filler, that fills large forms for you automatically and in no time; the link list dialog, that shows you all the links present in the current webpage complete with their name and the possibility to filter them; the boss key, that allows you to hide/show GreenBrowser's window by just pressing a pre-configured key combination; the URL aliases, that allow you to open your favorite websites really quickly, and the top video player, that allows you to continue Web-browsing while playing back your favorite videos.
Besides the program's main window, the program also installs an always-on-top transparent icon called "the monitor". It provides you with a quick access to the program's most frequent commands and functions, though you can also disable this icon at any moment. GreenBrowser is, in fact, full of novel and interesting features, like the mouse-drag actions – by default, you can drag your mouse to the left or to the right over the browser's window to go to the previous and next pages respectively, just to mention an example.
In short, if you are one of those persons who like to try alternative, free, and "green" tools, I would definitely recommend GreenBrowser. Surely, you will be surprised by all those novel features, while enjoying a fast and safe Web browsing experience.
